Privatklinik Confraternität & Goldenes Kreuz is one of the oldest private clinics in Vienna, founded in 1729. Located in the 9th district of Vienna at Lazarettgasse 16–18. It is part of Mavie Med (formerly PremiQaMed Group), a subsidiary of UNIQA Insurance Group. History and status: Founded as a brotherhood by seven apprentices to care for sick members of the merchant class. Today it is a modern medical center combining centuries-old traditions with advanced technologies. Key specialties: women's health and obstetrics (the largest private maternity department in Austria, about 1600 births per year), men's health (urology, andrology), oncology, orthopedics and sports traumatology, cardiology (including interventional catheterization), surgery (abdominal, vascular, plastic), ophthalmology, gastroenterology, preventive medicine (check-up). Diagnostics: modern equipment – CT, angiography, endoscopy, laboratory diagnostics. During the transition period, MRI services are temporarily unavailable. Infrastructure: 5 operating rooms, a fully equipped endoscopy room, 4 delivery rooms, its own catheterization room for cardiology. Development plans: by the end of 2028, a new clinical complex of 30,000 m² with 120 beds (80% single rooms), 6 operating rooms, 4 delivery rooms and a modern diagnostic center will open at Skodagasse 32. Features of treatment: the patient can choose their attending physician (Belegspital system). Service in German and English, translation is possible.
